| Fishers leaders say population growth far outpacing commercial growth
Town council president Scott Faultless says in the next year or two, Fishers is going be seeing seven million dollars in commercial investment alone. One example is a $13.5 million project set to go on the corner of 116th Street and Olio Road. "So you're going to see a lot of investment, a lot of job growth, high paying jobs, high skilled jobs and those jobs attract other jobs," said Faultless. Fishers residents had a mixed reaction. "Affordable housing would be even better. Fishers is pretty expensive. The housing right now is terrible right now with the economics," said Fishers resident, JoDee Yeary. "I would like to see them stop the residential development. They've got a lot of houses, they keep expanding the school systems to accommodate the residents that are here and I would just like to see more local stores maybe what they have downtown maybe up here a little higher-end," said Fishers resident, Maureen Spredlan.
McClaren axed by FA
The whole attitude needs to change and that comes from the fans aswell. However they have a right to boo, because the moral injustice of what these players recieve but dont produce is rediculous. It all comes from grass roots with the juniors we restrict kids enjoymnet and freedom to express themselves and thats why we get good players, but not great players. We have a very basic and cinical attitude ruled by the brainless british bulldogs that surround football in all areas at all levels in this country. .
Scalloped potatoes for cooks in a hurry
It's very saucy with a moist, velvety texture that doesn't taste of flour," said one judge. "It also has a faint onion flavor." Another judge detected a smoky flavor in the Betty Crocker brand. "Small potatoes, but big taste," he said. The Classic Casserole mix from GFS (Gordon Food Service) Marketplace was the next selection, receiving 54 points from panelists. Again, two said they would buy the brand. Mostly, they liked the size of the thinly sliced potatoes. "These have a soft, buttery cream taste and nice flecks of herbs," said one judge. Another compared the flavoring to onion soup mix, but said she liked the texture nevertheless. Also sampled were scalloped potatoes byPublix ($1.19 for 5 ounces); Idahoan ($1.50 for 1.5 ounces from Publix); Kraft Velveeta ($1.76 for 10.52 ounces from Wal-Mart); Albertsons ($1.89 for 5.25 ounces); and Hannaford ($1.19 for 5.25 ounces from Sweetbay).
Stan Hochman: Patriots have 'The Blueprint' for winning
TOURIST, LOST IN the skyscraper maze of Manhattan, approaches a stranger. He asks, "How do I get to Carnegie Hall?" The stranger replies swiftly, "Practice, practice, practice." Boston sports writer Christopher Price kept hearing people ask, how do the New England Patriots keep getting to the Super Bowl so often? So he sat down and wrote a book, "The Blueprint," that attempts to answer the question in this dynasty-discouraging age of free agency, taut salary cap, balanced schedule designed to promote parity, egomaniacal owners, inevitable injuries, and the temptations that go with fame and fortune. It's a fascinating book, not nearly as smug as "Moneyball" and thankfully lacking the blizzard of decimal points that jab the eye in anything Bill James writes.
SATURDAY CLOCKWATCH
However, it appeared to go to him off a defender not one of his own team-mates. 1631: Goal at Reading and the deadlock is broken. James Harper's free-kick is headed by Ibrahima Sonko. Gordon makes the save but Ivar Ingimarsson sticks in the rebound. 1630: In League One, Forest now lead 2-0 against Port Vale after Lewis McGugan's goal. And at Stoke the game's up for West Brom - Ricardo Fuller has made it a hat-trick and 3-0. 1629: Goal at Fulham and it's gone to Wigan. Marcus Bent lashes it in from close range to make it 1-0. Great stuff after his hat-trick last week. 1628: Torres looks to have wrapped up the points for Liverpool against Pompey. He's made it 3-1. Ryan Babel went through and James came out to meet him.

I'm talking about an internet golf game so new, it's only in beta right now. The people behind the website have partnered with Kiawah Island Golf Resort, taken tons of professional photos and used them to make a golf game you can play on the internet. The makers of the game say it's the most authentic online golf game out there. Since it's the only online golf game I've ever played, I can't speak to that, but I recently read a column about this game in fortune magazine.
Griddles are hot
The new year may be as good a time as any to start giving breakfast its proper due. But how are we going to progress beyond quick and easy solutions like Pop-Tarts and cold cereal? The short answer: Consider buying an electric griddle. These classic countertop kitchen appliances, typically designed to offer more room for cooking pancakes, eggs and such than your standard frying pan, seem to be making a comeback. Broil- .
